Freezing is the way to go...pretty much the only thing you can&#039;t freeze is lettuce.

And those green bags for produce, I hear, work wonders at keeping it fresh longer, and you can reuse them

		<description>Things that I&#039;ve learned... leftover baked potatoes make the best home fries, which is basically what you made.  When eggs, ham, cheese and onions are added (oh, and black pepper, lots of pepper), the result can be an incredibly yummy meal.  I haven&#039;t tried it with tomatoes, but maybe next time!

Oh, and just so you know daddoo now has his own asparagus bed.  Only 2 years until we get to eat some!

We cut down on waste by planning meals where the leftovers can be frozen in 2 person containers.  Chili, soups, casseroles, that sort of thing.  That way there&#039;s always a choice of meals waiting to be microwaved.  :)</description>
